ODS and Samantha Cohen Featured on "It's Academic"

Sammie Cohen, Open Door Sports’s 2022 Youth Changemaker Awardee and a junior at Walter Johnson High School, was granted an amazing opportunity by David Rubenstein, philanthropist and co-founder of the Carlyle Group to talk on NBC4 about Open Door Sports and her service to the organization during “It’s Academic” on Saturday, May 14, 2022. David Rubenstein, who became the title sponsor of “It’s Academic” after Giant Food ended its 50-year-long sponsorship of the quiz show, extols to viewers “I believe giving back is something we all can do.” This is a belief that Sammie has been living by, as evidenced by her work with ODS and many other organizations. “This fully inclusive program is truly incredible” Sammie exclaims about ODS.
